Geneva / Leverkusen, 3 March 2015. On stage together for the first time: Mazda is presenting its complete line-up of new-generation models at the 85th Geneva Motor Show, which got under way today with the first of two press days.

The star of the show is the all-new Mazda CX-3, which makes its European debut. Mazda’s first small SUV features a stunning KODO – Soul of Motion design and, following its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show, has been called a reason to get excited about and potentially the most entertaining model in its class. The CX-3 blends Mazda’s typically sporty handling with an uncompromising balance between performance and fuel economy (starting at only 4.0l/100km* for CO2 emissions of 105g/km). There is choice aplenty, too, with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, petrol or diesel power, connectivity technology and an extensive range of active safety systems.

Sharing the limelight, the all-new Mazda MX-5 carries the torch for the legendary lightweight roadster into its fourth generation. Mazda’s latest icon will be available with one of two SKYACTIV-G petrol engines putting out up to 118kW/160PS. It is also offered with i-stop and i-ELOOP, respectively Mazda’s advanced idle-stop and brake energy regeneration systems.

Also on stage, the 2015 Mazda CX-5 and 2015 Mazda6 are the newest versions of the very first two models of Mazda’s current generation. The all-new Mazda2, meanwhile, has added several awards to Mazda’s trophy case since its recent launch. They all join the Mazda3, now the “oldest” car on stage only 18 months after it was first revealed – the consequence of a rigorous model offensive that has seen five vehicles introduced in the past six months.

Press materials including photos and detailed information about Mazda at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show are now available online.
